Step Out Of the Boat

We often sing the hymn, “To God Be the Glory:”

To God be the glory, great things He hath done, so loved He the world that He gave us His Son,

Who yielded His life our redemption to win, and opened the life-gate that all may go in.

And while we all understand that it is God that does great things but we must also remember & understand that God often uses men and women to accomplish those great things!

  • Noah built the ark
  • Joshua led the Israelites  in the battle of Jericho
  • Gideon and his 300 men defeated several hundred thousand Midianites
  • David defeated Goliath
  • Queen Esther saved the Jews from being slaughtered
  • Elijah on Mt. Carmel against the prophets of the grove and Baal
  • Simply read Hebrews chapter 11 to see many of the others whom God used to accomplish great things for His honor and glory!

In Matthew chapter 14, we see Peter doing that which is impossible – walking on water but it was merely the “warm up” to one of the greatest things which God used Peter to do!
